Megan corgan
Megan Corgan is originally from San Diego, CA, and grew up dancing. She moved to Colorado in 2015 to study Equine Sciences at Colorado State University. After a few Achilles injuries and graduating high school, she moved to Colorado to study Equine Sciences at Colorado State University. Megan joined Kappa Alpha Theta and found many leadership roles including serving as Chief Recruitment Officer. She also enjoyed many on-campus jobs in the Office of Admissions and the Orientation and Transition programs, where she found her passion for teaching and helping students.
During her time at CSU, she was also heavily involved in the colt training and sales classes that were part of the Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale. The first year taking the class, she was paired up with SCR Autumn Leaf (Autumn), a sweet bay mare who turned out to be perfect for what Megan was looking for at the time. She then went on to purchase the horse she trained in the Legends of Ranching program, SCR Autumn Leaf and has continued training her. She currently shows Autumn in the AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse, Ranch Riding, and Working Cowhorse.
Megan recently completed her Master’s degree in Animal Sciences with a concentration in Livestock Behavior and Welfare under the guidance of Dr. Temple Grandin. She enjoyed many teaching opportunities, including continuing on as the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Legends of Ranching program. Megan was also a crucial part of adapting the Legends of Ranching program to a remote/hybrid program during COVID. She assisted in teaching classes, creating more online resources, and helping put on a successful sale during the pandemic.
Megan has worked at the Arabian Horse Association since August 2021. She started as the Special Services Representative in the Registry Services department. Megan is now the Business Technology Analyst for the Arabian Horse Association.
Megan and her fiance, Wyatt, live in Elbert, CO with Autumn and their two dogs, Maggie and Sandwich. They are getting married in April 2024!
